We're seeking a Casual SLP to provide high-quality, patient-centered care on an as-needed basis. This flexible role is perfect for professionals looking to maintain work-life balance while continuing to grow in their field.
What You'll Do:
+ Deliver effective speech-language pathology treatments to clients who can benefit from these services.
+ Conduct diagnostic evaluations and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
+ Maintain accurate progress notes and professional records.
+ Coordinate evaluation, scheduling, and treatment programs.
+ Participate in staff meetings, in-service education, and community outreach.
+ Uphold confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and UPMC's Code of Conduct.
+ Ensure all professional credentials and competencies are current (e.g., license, CPR, CEUs, TB test).
• What We're Looking For:
+ Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania.
+ CPR certification and other required credentials.
Education:
+ Master's degree (MS, MEd, or MA) in Speech-Language Pathology.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Pennsylvania Speech Pathologist License.
+ Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) or eligibility with active Clinical Fellowship year.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (AHA standards).
+ Act 34 Clearance.
+ OAPSA Clearance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
+ Strong knowledge of normal human growth and development across the lifespan.
+ Ability to read, understand, and interpret medical records.
+ Skilled in planning, organization, delegation, problem-solving, and stress management.
+ Strategic thinking and logical reasoning across diverse challenges.
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to identify referral growth opportunities.
+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate with healthcare teams and leadership.
+ Active participation in professional healthcare organizations preferred.
+ Completion of all mandatory system, facility, and department-specific orientations and competencies.
+ Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to medication safety protocols (no contact with medications).
