    Are you a safety-conscious professional looking to advance your career? Our site in Sequim, WA, seeks dedicated individuals like you to join our team as a Rear-Load Garbage Truck Driver. Prior experience in waste management is a plus, and it will position you as an ideal candidate for this essential role.

    Pay and Schedule:

    + **Competitive Wages:** Starts at $28/hr

    + **Typical Schedule:** Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed, totaling a 45-hour workweek.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Safely operate a rear-load garbage truck along designated routes.

    + Efficiently service customers by collecting recyclables as per route sheets.

    + Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.

    + Perform physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading refuse.

    + Operate hydraulic controls to lift and dispose of trash at designated facilities.

    + Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers.

    Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

    + Involves frequent heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 100 pounds.

    + Adherence to safety protocols due to exposure to mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions.

    + Moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to fumes.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    + Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement required (Class A CDL not required).

    + Proficiency in English (reading, writing, communicating); high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    + Minimum one year of directly related experience.

    + Basic knowledge of truck components for pre-and post-trip inspections.
