_This full time position will work primarily at Jefferson and Canonsburg hospitals including additional onsite AHN locations._

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Provides technical and administrative support to the Biomedical, Radiological, technical staff, allowing for the most effective and efficient use of Clinical Engineering resources to the needs of the hospital.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Oversees and dispatches requests for service while evaluating responsiveness, courtesy, and customer satisfaction. Works with hospital clinical management to ensure needs are met, capital issues are researched, and equipment incidents are investigated. (30%)

+ Ensures that appropriate departmental informational system documentation is completed by the technical staff. (20%)

+ Manages technical resource issues, skill development, user prioritization and the daily PM/inspection program to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and internal standards. (20%)

+ Supervises staff, evaluates work efficacy and efficiency, recommends and implements approved disciplinary action as needed. (20%)

+ Serves as Clinical Engineering representative for the Environment of Care, local safety committees by attending EOC, audit inspections and meetings, and providing corrective follow-up when needed. (5%)

+ Provide clinical engineering project management capabilities to project teams as needed, (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

+ Associate's Degree in Biomedical, Clinical or Electrical Engineering

+ Graduate from an electronic technical school

+ 7 years supporting clinical and/or radiological devices

+ Current state driver’s license

Preferred

+ Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical, Clinical or Electrical Engineering

+ Experience in a tertiary care hospital

+ Prior supervisory experience in a Clinical Engineering setting
