    Job Description

    As the VP of Corporate Tax, youll oversee all aspects of corporate tax strategy, compliance, and planningincluding federal and multi-state income tax, ASC 740 provisions, and M&A due diligence. Youll mentor and develop a small but capable team, helping them grow into high-performing leaders. Collaboration is key: youll work closely with Finance, IT, Treasury, and Operations, and present regularly to executive leadership (and occasionally the Board). A major focus will be driving innovation across the tax function, including modernizing systems, enhancing processes, and implementing strategic technology solutions like a new provision platform. This is a hands-on leadership role in a respectful, people-first culture.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    12+ years of progressive tax experience, including time at a Big 4 firm and in a publicly traded company

     

    Deep expertise in federal and multi-state tax compliance and provision (ASC 740)

     

    Proven experience in transactional tax work, including M&A due diligence

     

    Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and mentoring tax teams

     

    Strategic mindset with the ability to drive initiatives independently and influence at the executive level Experience with international tax, particularly Canadian operations

     

    Hands-on involvement in a tax technology implementation

     

    Broad exposure to cross-functional projects involving IT, Treasury, and Operations
