    Job Description

    A client of Insight Global is looking for a Transmission Designer to join their team in Orlando, FL. As a Transmission Designer I you will work independently on transmission design tasks including CADD drafting, PLS-CADD modeling, and the development of design drawings and documentation. Responsibilities include preparing transmission-related drawings such as plan and profile views, structural and foundation details, and performing calculations and reports to support engineering efforts. You’ll conduct field reviews, generate material lists, and ensure alignment with client standards while executing small to moderately complex projects. This role requires sound judgment in design evaluation and criteria, and regular communication with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure project success.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    2+ years of experience developing CADD layouts/designs from engineering designs

    PLS-CADD Experience

    Proficiency using Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and MicroStation or Inroads etc.

     

    Experience with or ability to learn PLS-CADD transmission line modeling software

     

    Ability to be a lead technician and work closely with engineering staff.

     

    Willing to commit to being in office 4 days a week
