Job Description

This is a fast-paced job that works at customer sites to support the energy industry in many different welding and turbine repair applications. Jobs very from welding support to blading on varies components. You will be expected to travel domestically and internationally, potentially on short notice.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Perform machining operations on turbine & generator equipment.

• Set-up & operation of both stationary and portable lathes, milling, boring, grinding, and drilling machines.

• Use all types of precision measuring tools.

• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and charts.

D2D:

• Every day starts and ends with a shift turnover meeting

• Talking safety, risks, and tasks for the day assigned by an engineer or site level individual

• Jump and execute on daily goals and tasks

• Station/ work space clean up

• Finish day with turnover meeting for the next shift

Skills and Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED or technical or vocational college

- 3+ YOE of in Machining trade (not CNC machining more field or manual)

• Performing machining operations on turbine & generator equipment.

• Ability to set-up & operate both stationary and portable lathes, milling, boring, grinding, and drilling machines

• Ability to use all types of precision measuring tools

• Ability to read & interpret drawings, schematics, and charts

- Can independently do the 2D programming and understanding the 3D programming as well

- Basic PC/Laptop skills for using our timekeeping and expense systems, as well as email usage.

- Can lift 50 lbs.

- Must have drivers license

- Must be Proficient in reading and writing - Passport (if you do not have one Siemens Energy can help you acquire one during onboarding)

- Past experience working at ABB, GE, Mitsubishi
