• Backend/Full Stack Software Engineer Lead

    Job Description

    Insight Global's client, who is one of the world's largest quick service restaurant companies, is seeking a Lead Backend Software Development Engineer to join their team. This team is responsible for managing employee and restaurant data across our iconic brands and developing core applications used by restaurants around the world. This person will collaborate closely with the restaurant brands to provide them actionable data for the store owners/franchisees. The ideal candidate is someone who can come in and ramp up on existing systems and really help to tame complexities. This person should ask questions, challenge the team, and help construct the roadmap for the back end teams. The intention is to convert this position to full time after six months. This team has expressed that they want leads who are hungry and looking for growth opportunities

    Skills and Requirements

    • 6+ years of software engineering experience.

    • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript build and packaging systems

    • Experience with Node and relevant frameworks

    • Strong SQL expertise with one or more of the major databases (MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server)

    • Cloud deployment expertise, preferably AWS + Terraform

    • Experience with Snowflake, AWS Redshift, or other data lake/warehouse technologies

     

    Knowledge of analytics databases and data pipelines (OLAP, ETLs)
