    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Software Engineer to be located in the Colorado Springs and Huntsville area. The Software Engineer will be responsible The candidate will be responsible for software development in the Java language for one of the applications teams. Under direction, provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas.

     

    Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support. Maintains currency, debugs, and configures related software products. Works from specifications to develop or modify operating system applications. Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs. Interfaces with other systems support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve the overall efficiency of the operating system. Designs, codes, tests, and implements tools for operations automation. Works on most phases of software systems programming applications, and may require minor instruction and guidance in other phases.

     

    PR: 40-56/hr DOE

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Bachelors in STEM w/ 1+ year of Software Engineering experience

     

    Secret clearance or higher

     

    Solid OOD/OOP experience in Java/JEE for enterprise application development (C++ may be considered secondary)

     

    Familiarity with Java foundation classes, toolkits, and server-side/database development.

     

    Experience developing within a Linux environment Top Secret preferred

     

    Sec+ or ability to obtain within 40 days of start date
