Position Summary:
The Lost & Found Coordinator aids customers who have lost items within the Central Passenger Terminal Complex. The Lost & Found Coordinator will handle in-person and telephone inquiries regarding lost items. The position accepts found items from multiple sources, utilizes a tracking system to locate items and connects the items to the appropriate passenger. In addition, provides administrative support to the Team as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Answer incoming telephone calls from customers regarding their lost items.
• Perform self-monitoring of passenger calls to ensure you are providing the highest level of world class customer support.
• Catalog all items into a tracking database.
• Place cataloged items in the proper location within the Lost & Found Department.
• Accurately match items with claims filed by passengers.
• Arrange distribution of found items by shipping or in-person return of items to passenger.
• Complete administrative functions required to ensure proper accounting and record keeping for monthly parking permits.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Identifies quality issues and performs root cause analysis to determine deficiencies and non-compliance.
This position is subject to shift work. Scheduled hours will be centered around second shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Shift assignments are determined through a bidding process that occurs every six months and are subject to change based on operational needs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• High School Diploma: A high school graduate or any equivalent combination of training, education or experience which provides the necessary knowledge, ability and skills needed to perform the job functions.
• Two (2) years of customer Service experience.
• Previous experience in a call center or dispatch environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Some computer knowledge required; comfortable with Word, keyboarding, and use of communication tools such as Instant Messenger and email.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to use all 5 senses (taste, smell, see, hear, touch) and bend, kneel, crouch, stand walk and sit.
• Must be able to pass requirements for approval for an ATL badge with customs seal. This includes a 10-year background search by fingerprint analysis.
