PeaceHealth is seeking a Biomed Technician I - Clinical Engineering for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.
The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $40.73 – $40.73.
The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.
Performs repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety testing and deployment of biomedical and general patient care equipment under the guidance and supervision of the department supervisor or an experienced Biomedical Technician.
Details of the position:
+ Performs equipment inspection, minor repairs, and planned maintenance.
+ Works with experienced biomedical technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment. Assures all work is performed in accordance with established standards and meets regulatory requirements.
+ Maintains all documentation and record keeping required by management as outlined by current policies and procedures. Documents time and expense in a timely manner.
+ Assists experienced biomedical technicians with testing and calibration of equipment according to manufactures recommendations and other established guidelines.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
+ Associate Degree Required: Biomedical Technology or equivalent related field in electronic engineering, biomedical engineering, physics or technical training
+ Minimum of 1 year Required: of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance or completion of an internship as part of a formal Biomed Technician program
+ Required: Drivers License
Skills
+ Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. (Required)
+ Basic medical terminology related to equipment function. (Required)
+ Skilled in using computers with Windows operating system. (Required)
+ Possible fast paced and challenging situations. (Required)
+ Ability to respond to emergency codes, fire, show of force and disaster. (Required)
+ Occasional exposure to potentially lethal high voltage. (Required)
+ Occasional driving of PeaceHealth vehicles. (Required)
+ Computer skills in Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel. (Required)
+ Knowledge of both Analog and Digital electronics. (Required)
