    The Kelly Group is seeking a Shop Foreman for its Lafayette, Indiana, metal fabrication facility. Experience managing others in a similar role is preferred, and candidates should have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    The essential functions of this position include:

    + Project management of metal fabrications such as industrial ductwork, tanks, cyclones, enclosures, ladders, special assemblies, etc.

    + Overseeing production of quality fabrications that meet customer timeframes while maintaining a safe work environment

    + Day-to-day supervision of fabrication facility

    + Ability to safely operate and instruct employees on proper use of fabrication equipment including press brakes, burn table, roll and shear

    + Manage procurement of materials

    + Coordinate with other managers to ensure projects are run efficiently, profitably and on schedule

    + Attending weekly production meetings with updated cost of work in progress by utilizing software (Microsoft Project, Timberline, JobBoss, Microsoft Excel) to maximize efficiency

    + Assess and address financial and safety risks

    + Familiarity and understanding of applicable codes

    + Coordinate shop drawing process (detailer, AutoCAD department and customer drawings)

    + Monitor and react to industry trends

    + Set a clear example of ethical behavior
