Radiation Therapist - Senior

An experienced and skilled Radiation Therapist focused on expanding knowledge and skills. Consistently provides effective handling of daily activities in all treatment areas. Manages care and implements treatment plans at a refined skill level in collaboration with patients their families and under direction of the physician and other members of the Radiation Oncology team. Seeks as well as provides feedback to improve clinical practice and quality of care. Assumes a leadership role while seeking guidance from appropriate staff.
+ Performs Simulation/CT-Simulation procedures including fabrication of treatment aids & immobilization devices.
+ Collects analyzes and interprets data and performs quality assurance checks.
+ Performs radiation treatment delivery.
+ Ensures patient and employee safety.
+ Communicates effectively with patients and staff.
+ Participates in educational activities and staff meetings and ensures certification.
+ Demonstrates leadership in the delivery of all aspects of radiation treatment at the Senior Radiation Therapist level.
+ In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
**Education:** Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program
**Experience:** 3 years experience required; 5 years preferred.
**Licensure:** Certified to practice in Radiation Therapy by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requirements: Standing for prolonged periods, frequent bending/stooping and traveling, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive); Repetitive motion - computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, cold, dust, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
Position Compensation Range: $40.56 - $64.90 Hourly
