Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)

Duration: 36 weeks

Schedule: 30 hours/week

Pay Rate: $35/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our educational team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will support licensed Speech Language Pathologists in delivering high-quality speech and language services to students. Responsibilities include clinical support, educational activities, documentation, and treatment implementation—all within the scope of care outlined by the supervising SLP and/or physician.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assist in implementing speech and language therapy plans

+ Support documentation and data collection for treatment progress

+ Collaborate with the supervising SLP to ensure continuity of care

+ Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and standards

Minimum Requirements:

+ Associate’s degree from an SLPA program or bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders

+ Minimum of 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience (as required by state/contract)

+ Current SLPA certification or licensure in the state of California

+ One year of prior SLPA experience preferred

+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)

+ Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
