Special Education Teacher (LBS1) – Lombard, IL

Rate: $50/hr

Schedule: 35 hours/week, Monday–Friday

Duration: 35 weeks (ASAP start through end of school year)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Special Education Teacher (LBS1) to support elementary students in Lombard, IL. This role offers a collaborative teaching environment with a manageable caseload and strong support from school staff.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs

+ Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

+ Participate in IEP development and implementation

+ Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Valid Illinois teaching certificate (LBS1 endorsement preferred)

+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)

+ Certifications: Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching (preferred)

+ Must meet all professional standards and health requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

Caseload Details:

+ Elementary age group

+ Self-contained classroom

+ Co-teaching model with a Amergisum of 10 students
