    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    As the Cardiovascular Services Coordinator, you are responsible for patient scheduling, coordinates information flow within assigned areas, oversees clerical operations in Cardiovascular Services, acts as Records and Retention Coordinator and serves as a resource to staff. The Coordinator is also the point person for processing of health information between the referring office and health information management (HIM). The coordinator uses open, professional communication (verbal, non-verbal, and written) to directly interact with physicians, patients, guests and other health team members. The Coordinator demonstrates organizational and time management skills, ability to work with and without supervision, provides quality work, meets productivity expectations, accepts change, prioritizes and is capable of multitasking. The individual assists the Director /Manager/Supervisors in ensuring day-to-day operations of Cardiovascular Services and meets required deadlines. This position works closely with other healthcare team members to facilitate exceptional patient care, while also promoting optimal unit operations. The Cardiovascular Services Coordinator adheres to the customer service standards while maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe work environment.

     

    + **You will oversee the clerical operation and the day- to day administration of Cardiovascular Services to ensure smooth operation.**

    + **You will maintain established policies and procedures, objectives, and safety standards.**

    + **You will be responsible for scheduling Day Patient, EP and CL procedures in collaboration with physician’s offices and ancillary depts.**

    + **You will utilize Leading Reach, Meditech, and HPF to coordinate medical records and schedule requested procedures in a timely manner.**

    + **You will under the direction of the CV Services Director and Manager, coordinate and gather essential data and prepare Program Quality reports on a monthly and/or quarterly basis for the CV Services Department.**

    + **You will assist with maintenance and updates of department specific policies and procedures.**

    + **You will participate in hospital or departmental performance improvement activities.**

    + **You will provide support to other departments within the CV Services line.**

    + **You will coordinate monthly/quarterly CV Services meetings.**

    + **You will complete Order Entry and purchases as needed.**

    + **You will oversee clerical operations in the Cardiovascular Services department and serve as a resource for staff assigned to this location.**

    + **You will organize and maintain appropriate filing, forms control, supply requisitions, and mail delivery.**

    + **You will train new employees in CV Services administrative processes.**

    What qualifications you will need:

    + **Minimum 1-year general responsibilities (typing, filing, etc.)**

    + **Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant/Coordinator in the healthcare industry**

    + **High school diploma or GED equivalent**

    + **Completion of a Secretarial/Administrative Assistant vocational program**
