Your Path to a Career in Health Care
Selected individuals (participants) will receive tuition assistance for the AHI SIPT training program. **Please note:** tuition assistance will cover tuition only, and participants may be responsible for additional fees. Upon successful completion and certification, participants will be eligible to apply for SIPT positions at Hawai‘i Pacific Health.

SIPT Job Responsibilities
The Surgical Instrument Processing Technician plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety and surgical efficiency by decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and medical equipment. This position supports operating rooms, outpatient clinics, and procedural areas by maintaining high standards of infection control and equipment readiness.

SIPT Training Program Details
We are currently looking for individuals who share the same passion about our mission and have an interest in becoming a SIPT. Details for this training program are outlined below. • **Program Start Date:** January 5, 2026
• **Program End Date:** August 21, 2026
• **Class Location:** Pearlridge Office Center
• **Minimum Education Requirement:** High school diploma and/or equivalent
Employment Benefits
Upon successful completion of the program and attainment of required certification, participants will be eligible to apply to SIPT positions at our facilities. Our full-time and part-time positions feature:
• Starting pay at $23.00/hour
• Excellent health coverage within 30 days of your start date
• A start to your career with one of the state’s largest health care organizations.

Important Notes
To be considered for tuition assistance, individuals must submit an application for the SIPT Program to the Academy for Healthcare Innovation by October 17. Consideration for future employment at Hawai‘i Pacific Health is contingent upon the completion of the program.
