    About the Role

     

    As a Senior Events Safety & Security Manager at CBRE, you’ll lead the development and management of comprehensive safety and security programs for high-profile properties and events. This role is responsible for designing strategic frameworks, implementing protocols, and continuously improving physical security and fire safety operations.

     

    You’ll oversee a dedicated team, collaborate with clients and internal customers, and ensure that all programs meet regulatory standards and organizational goals. If you have a strong background in program development, planning, and execution within safety and security environments, this is a high-impact opportunity to lead from the front.

     

    What You’ll Do

     

    Provide formal supervision to employees. Supervise the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Lead all aspects of the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

     

    Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department target dates. Mentor and coach as needed.

     

    Develop and implement high-level security policies, protocols, and procedures. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

     

    Act as the point of contact for ongoing communication with Building Services staff about site operations. Collaborate with department managers to resolve security needs.

     

    Protect the organization and clients from damage and loss. This includes developing and implementing life safety systems, CPR, and first aid training.

     

    Build and approve budgets for security operations and monitor expenses. Review security intelligence and quickly implement preventative measures.

     

    What You’ll Need

     

    Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

     

    Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

     

    Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

     

    Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

     

    Leadership skills to empower the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job field, multiple job subject areas, and department.

     

    In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

     

    Extensive organizational skills and a sophisticated inquisitive mentality.

     

    Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations

    • CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr. Events Safety & Security Manager position is $100,500 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr. Events Safety & Security Manager position is $125,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
