Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in Bloomington, Minnesota. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping financial strategies, guiding decision-making, and supporting critical forecasting and budgeting activities. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within the energy and natural resources industry, leveraging your analytical expertise to drive meaningful results.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

• Perform in-depth variance analysis to identify and explain deviations between actuals, budgets, and forecasts.

• Design and enhance financial models to support scenario planning, profitability evaluations, and investment decision-making.

• Conduct cost analysis and allocation reviews to optimize margins and improve financial outcomes.

• Provide essential support for financial planning and analysis (FP& A) operations, ensuring timely completion of key deliverables.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to extract and analyze data for ad hoc financial reporting and strategic initiatives.

• Utilize data mining techniques and tools like NetSuite and Power BI to streamline reporting and improve insights.

• Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. Requirements

+ 5–10+ years of FP& A experience, with exposure to budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.

+ Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, and dynamic modeling).

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

+ Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

+ Excellent communication skills and ability to work across functions.

Nice to Have: Experience with NetSuite, Concur, or Power BI (not required but beneficial).
