Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Watervliet, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate cash applications, and handling commercial collections. Your expertise will play a critical part in maintaining the accuracy of our financial records and supporting overall business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Oversee commercial collections, including following up on outstanding payments and resolving discrepancies.

• Apply customer payments to accounts, ensuring proper documentation and allocation.

• Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts to maintain financial accuracy.

• Prepare and issue invoices for billing, adhering to company guidelines and procedures.

• Monitor accounts for overdue balances and implement strategies to improve collection rates.

• Generate reports on accounts receivable performance and present findings to management.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address billing inquiries and ensure smooth operations.

• Maintain organized records of transactions and correspondence for audit purposes.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounts receivable function. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role.

• Strong knowledge of commercial collections and cash application processes.

• Familiarity with billing functions and general ledger reconciliations.

• Proficiency in financial software and tools relevant to accounts receivable.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and internal teams.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
