Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization in Cleveland, Ohio. This role requires a meticulous individual with a solid background in accounting, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.

• Oversee the preparation and completion of month-end close procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date.

• Apply cost accounting principles to analyze, track, and report manufacturing expenses.

• Supervise and mentor the accounting assistant, fostering their growth and ensuring task completion.

• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

• Monitor financial operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to company policies.

• Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses for management review.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function and implement solutions. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.

• Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger maintenance.

• Familiarity with cost accounting principles, particularly in manufacturing settings.

• Proven ability to supervise and mentor team members effectively.

• Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong communication abilities for collaboration across departments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
