Job Title: Color Matching Technician

Type: Contract To Hire

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PM M-F, OT Saturdays required during busy season - Usually 5/6 AM - 10/11 AM

Responsibilities:

+ Processes requests as assigned by Samples Lab Supervisor.

+ One ore more of the following: Pulling order, fulfilling order, labeling order, and shipping

+ Ensures that all requests are processed in a timely manner.

+ Communicates concerns or potential for delays to supervisor and department manager.

+ Adheres to all company policies and procedures for the purpose of remaining consistent in performance and minimizing the potential for errors.

+ Demonstrates a consistently professional presence in a manner that fosters teamwork.

+ Supports UPS requirements by ensuring that completed requests are delivered to specified area by designated time on a daily basis.

+ Continues to review progress with assigned shift leader/manager.

+ Communicates with supervisor on any concerns specific to job performance or opportunities for increased learning or advancement.

+ Maintains the waste water drainage system and dust collector.

+ Advises department manager of any immediate safety or waste water disposal concerns.

+ Adheres to documented procedures and uses provided safety requirements.

+ Maintains oven temperatures and water level ovens.

+ Maintains a tidy and safe work environment

+ Performs other duties as assigned at his/her supervisor’s discretion.

+ Weighing of all materials prior to blending requirement in blenders.

+ Materials include: pigment, sand, and additives

+ Appropriate use of blenders/mixers

+ Not required but knowledge of paint like materials, tinting, and mixing.

+ Ability to visibly distinguish colors. Cannot be color blind.

+ Ability to correctly stamp and date samples to minimize potential errors and offer immediate reference to customers preparing to order.

Requirements:

+ Requires approximately 1-2 years directly related experience color matching/mixing, ideally with samples and/or stucco and/or grouts materials.

+ Ideal candidate would be experienced in all techniques of stucco application. Printing Ink Manufacturing ideal as well.

+ Must have full perception of the color spectrum, and the ability to create formulas in a timely manner using available materials.

+ Requires basic computer proficiency for purposes of accessing formula database.

+ Must have good Math knowledge, including the use of fractions and decimal conversions.

+ Experience with paint or color mixing/matching

+ Ability to occasionally lift heavy items

+ Consistent and reliable attendance
