Salary: $3225 / Week

The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The PMH RN works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

Job Description:

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Assistant Nurse Manager for an Acute Psychiatric Unit in Visalia, California . This is a 13-week travel contract ideal for experienced psych nurses with leadership experience who are ready to support clinical operations and patient care in a behavioral health setting.

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager helps oversee the efficient operations of the Acute Psych Unit to meet the holistic needs of patients and families. This role does not include direct responsibility for hiring, firing, peer review, or financial management.

+ Start Date: September 29, 2025

+ Duration: 13 weeks

+ Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts

+ Shift: 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM

+ $1923.68 Taxable Income

+ $1477 Stipends

+ Active CA RN License

+ BLS Certification – American Heart Association

+ CPI Certification (can be completed on-site)

+ 3+ years of Acute Psych experience within the last 2 years

+ 1+ year of management or leadership experience
