AdventHealth Minneola's 80-bed hospital will bring inpatient care to the growing population of South Lake County. Spanning approximately 204,000 square feet, the hospital will include an emergency department; full-service imaging; five operating suites; endoscopy services; outpatient laboratory; heart catheterization labs; critical care and general medical/surgical rooms. You Will Be Responsible For:
+ Projects a positive and creative attitude toward NS initiatives, especially CREATION Health and The Healthy 100 Programs; communicates effectively with the public, media, marketing, and all staff; promotes a positive team spirit by displaying a friendly, impartial and compassionate attitude.
+ Interacts and networks with dietitians, local vendors, restaurants, and the media to promote, teach and demonstrate the preparation and presentation of healthy and vegetarian cuisine; promotes
+ Collaborates with internal and external contacts to coordinate promotional opportunities and events, such as culinary demonstrations, taste tests, and media appearances.
+ Creates new recipes that focus on healthy and/or vegetarian cuisine and implements using established processes; trains and teaches staff to execute the recipes following standard guidelines.
+ Trains and teaches chefs, cooks, and food handlers throughout the system how to boost sales and customer/patient satisfaction by improving food preparation and presentation techniques for patients and retail customers, including catering customers and doctors.
Qualifications
What** **You Will Need:
+ Culinary Arts Degree
+ 5 years management experience
+ 5 years experience in catering management or food production management
+ Bachelors Degree in culinary arts or related field (Preferred)
+ ServSafe Certification (Preferred)
+ Bilingual-English mandatory/Spanish preferred (Preferred)
Job Summary:
Actively participates in an outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Functions as the Culinary Face of AdventHealth who represents AdventHealth internally and throughout the community. Acts as the expert culinary consultant for many programs and initiatives, including catered events, Doctors Lounge Service, Campuses, CREATION Health and The Healthy 100. Interacts and networks with dietitians, local vendors, restaurants, and the media to promote, teach and demonstrate the preparation, presentation, acceptance and branding of healthy foods. Must demonstrate creativity and pizzazz for healthy and vegetarian recipe development and food presentation. Coordinates and participates in promotional opportunities, culinary demonstrations, media appearances, and event planning. Assists in food delivery, set-up, service, and clean up. Demonstrates stewardship while providing world class service and quality. Responsible for ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment.
