    To strengthen our team in Allentown, we are looking for you as aPolymers Chemist Intern Summer 2026 .

We have a global presence with production sites on three continents and 14,500 employees from 70 nations.

     

    WACKER North America is looking for several highly motivated college students for our 12-week summer 2026 internship program in Allentown, PA. We have several internships available in our business teams working on value added chemical related projects.

    Projects could include one of the following focus areas:

    + The primary project will be qualifying different raw materials in various caulks, mastics, and coatings formulations. Along with lab testing, this project will involve analysis of data, data compilation and representation, and an overall presentation of the data and findings.

    + Determine the impacts of different raw materials on CCM formulations.

    + Support ongoing application development projects.

    + Evaluate data and present findings.

    + Additional work and side projects may also be possible depending on the ongoing work at the time.

    Position Qualifications:

    + Currently a rising sophomore or higher and attending school to obtain a college degree in the field of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or a related field.

    + Available full-time in person commitment (Monday through Friday) from May 18th through August 7th

    + Ability to follow safety procedures

    + Basic laboratory skills

    + Ability to maintain confidentiality

    + Excellent communication and analytical skills

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office

    + Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task

    + Effective time-management abilities

    + Ability to positively present our company
