    Your Responsibilities

    The 2026 Engine Engineering Development Program gives recent engineering graduates three experiences over a two-year period. The eight-month rotations include assignments in a wide range of combustion engine and aftertreatment functional areas including Advanced Research, Module Engineering, Performance and Emissions development, Reliability and Durability demonstration, Heat Transfer, Combustion, Fluids, and Fatigue Analysis, including Embedded System control software — all possible at our Midwest John Deere location.

     

    You’ll have the opportunity to learn and apply Systems Engineering principles, a range of Virtual and Physical analysis and testing and Data Engineering and Analytics.

    Requirements:

    + Working knowledge of internal combustion engines and aftertreatment

    + Experience with problem solving and working in a team environment

    + Effective verbal and written communication skills

    + Familiar with Microsoft Office productsEducation:

    + Currently pursuing or recent college graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering degree with an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 through August 2026

    + Desired cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale. Minimum cumulative GPA required of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale

     

    _Candidates must be willing to relocate to Waterloo, Iowa_

    Salary based on published rates based on business function and education level is $81,000-$83,000.
