Join the Colgate-Palmolive Global Network Team as a Senior Network Architect and be part of our expanding team! Our Global Network group plays a vital role in helping the organization maintain robust connectivity, security, efficiency, and the overall smooth operation of IT resources.
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Network Architect to design, implement, and maintain our organization’s complex data networks. The Senior Network Architect will work closely with other Architects and will be responsible for developing high-level network architectures that ensure connectivity, security, scalability, and optimal performance to support current and future business needs. You'll require the ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve complex issues as well as quickly implement changes to support highly complex enterprise level networks.
This position is based out of the Piscataway, NJ location. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
What you'll do
+ Design and develop enterprise-level network architecture solutions, including LANs, WANs, cloud, and wireless networks
+ Align network architecture and infrastructure with business goals, anticipating future needs, understanding how technology supports business objectives, recognizing performance and reliability issues, documenting changes, and thoroughly pursuing optimization and efficiency throughout.
+ Evaluate, recommend, and implement new networking technologies and solutions
+ Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, configuration, procedures, and project plans
+ Assess network connectivity needs and propose effective design solutions
+ Collaborate with IT, security, and other relevant teams to ensure network reliability and data protection.
+ Oversee network integration, migration, and capacity planning efforts
+ Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis, working closely with the network operations team
+ Design network performance monitoring improvements
+ Lead network-related projects and mentor junior engineers as required
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
+ 7+ years experience in IT industry
+ 5+ years of experience in network architecture, engineering, or administration.
+ Deep understanding of networking principles, protocols (routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP, etc, routed protocols: TCP/IP), SDWAN and/or SASE deployments, LAN/WAN technologies, network design principles, cloud integration, data center segmentation, enterprise, and security infrastructure.
+ Proficiency in firewalls, VPNs, IPSec tunnels, GRE tunnels, NAT/PAT configuration, encryption protocols, access controls
+ The ability to monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, identifying and resolving latency-based issues, and recognize solutions to remediate instability in the network.
+ Familiarity with cloud service models, cloud integration (VPCs, cloud routers, gateways, etc) and integration with on-prem data center infrastructure.
+ Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Expertise in hands-on configuration and handling of various infrastructure platforms( Cisco Routers and Switches, Palo Alto Firewalls, Prisma SD-WAN, Cisco ThousandEyes)
+ Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting).
+ Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP/CCIE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking).
+ Experience with VoIP, wireless networking, and network storage systems.
+ Strong written and oral communication skills
+ Familiarity with AWS and GCP Cloud and Networking
+ Familiarity with Equinix Fabric
+ Familiarity with Cisco ISE, DNA Center, Catalyst Center, Data Center Network Manager
+ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $106,400.00 - $150,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
