    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced **Diagnostic Medical Sonographer** to join our Radiology team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related procedures. The position requires ARDMS or ARRT (US) registration and proven clinical expertise in performing sonographic exams.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Prepare for examinations by reviewing orders, patient schedules, and ensuring equipment and supplies are ready.

    + Program and adjust ultrasound scanners for specific procedures; capture complete imaging from all necessary angles.

    + Apply cognitive sonographic skills to accurately identify, record, and adapt imaging procedures to the patient’s needs.

    + Exercise independent judgment to differentiate between normal and pathological findings.

    + Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure, explaining processes and answering questions.

    + Determine which images to capture for physician review.

    + Maintain accurate records within the electronic health record (EHR) system, including patient charges.

    + Perform IV insertions for contrast studies.

    + Assist with scheduling patients and verifying prior authorizations.

    + Keep knowledge current through ongoing education, networking, and professional development.

    + Follow all safety and infection control protocols.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education/Certifications/Licenses

    + Associate’s Degree in Applied Science.

    + Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program.

    + RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification (or equivalent).

    + BLS certification (American Heart Association).

    Experience

    + Minimum 3+ years of sonography experience in abdomen/small parts, OB/GYN, and vascular imaging.

    Preferred

    + RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) credential
