    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Information and Data Architect to play a key role in designing and managing robust data systems that support organizational objectives. This long-term contract position is based in Chicago, IL and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to data strategy, architecture, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in data management, integration, and governance, ensuring the security and reliability of enterprise data assets.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement scalable data storage solutions that align with business needs.

    • Develop and maintain efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure smooth data flow across systems.

    • Create detailed data models and database schemas to support operational and analytical requirements.

    • Manage the daily operations of the data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

    • Implement and enforce data governance policies to maintain high standards of data integrity.

    • Optimize database performance by monitoring and addressing potential issues.

    • Oversee the integration of data from multiple sources, ensuring seamless synchronization and accessibility.

    • Collaborate with IT security teams to implement measures that protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulations.

    • Work closely with stakeholders, including analysts and business teams, to align data architecture with organizational goals.

    • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate technology solutions to enhance data infrastructure.

     

    Requirements • Proficiency in Apache Spark and Apache Hadoop for big data processing.

     

    • Strong knowledge of Python for data analysis and scripting.

    • Experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming.

    • Expertise in designing and maintaining ETL processes.

    • Solid understanding of data governance principles and best practices.

    • Ability to optimize database performance and troubleshoot technical issues.

    • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
