**Job Title:** Physician Assistant – Pediatric Orthopedics (OR Support)

**Location:** Temple, TX

**Facility:** Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple & McLane Children’s Medical Center

**Schedule:** Full-Time | Clinic-Based with Occasional First Assist

Position Overview:

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a **Physician Assistant (PA)** to join our growing **Pediatric Orthopedic team** in Temple, Texas. This APP will play a key role in supporting a new pediatric orthopedic surgeon starting in **September 2025** , helping provide high-quality orthopedic care to children in a collaborative, multispecialty environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Evaluate and treat an average of **18 pediatric patients per day** in the clinic

+ Provide first assist support in the operating room as needed (minimal)

+ Collaborate with an experienced team that includes **2 pediatric surgeons** , **non-operative sports medicine providers** , and a **clinic nurse specialist**

+ Participate in care planning and follow-up for surgical and non-surgical patients

+ Use clinical judgment and teamwork to deliver compassionate, child-friendly care

Qualifications:

+ Licensed Physician Assistant in the state of Texas (or ability to obtain)

+ New graduates welcome to apply; pediatric or orthopedic experience preferred

+ Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

+ Passion for working with children and a commitment to family-centered care

+ Demonstrated ability to adapt, think critically, and work as part of a team
