    Mobile Building Engineer

    Job Description Summary

    This role is responsible for performing hands-on maintenance and repair work across multiple commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial HVAC systems, general building maintenance, and must possess a valid driver’s license to travel between sites.

    Qualifications:

    + **Valid driver’s license** with a clean driving record (required).

    + **3+ years of experience** in commercial HVAC maintenance and repair.

    + EPA Universal Certification (preferred).

    + Strong knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.

    + Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

    + Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    + High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications a plus.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform routine and emergency maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

    + Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, and chillers.

    + Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance across assigned properties.

    + Respond to service requests and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

    + Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

    + Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

    + Travel between multiple sites using a company-provided vehicle or personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).

    ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

    + Technical, vocational or on-the-job training in at least one of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair

    + Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license (commercial license may be required) and good driving record with periodic checks

    + Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word

    + May be only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts; may be required to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority/emergency situations (including overtime type assignments); may require shift work and/or stand-by on-call duties

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
