    Responsibilities

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialty Registered Nurse (RN) to join our OB/GYN clinic located in West Des Moines, IA. The RN will work collaboratively with our team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across a range of obstetric and gynecologic services. This role requires clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for women's health.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide direct patient care including assessments, education, and triage in an OB/GYN setting.

    + Support providers with in-office procedures (e.g., colposcopies, IUD insertions, biopsies).

    + Administer medications and injections, including vaccines and hormone therapies, as prescribed.

    + Assist with prenatal care, postpartum follow-ups, and routine gynecologic visits.

    + Educate patients about reproductive health, pregnancy, contraception, and preventive care.

    + Triage patient phone calls and messages, assessing urgency and coordinating appropriate follow-up.

    + Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

    + Ensure compliance with all clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

    + Collaborate with front desk and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling.

    + Participate in ongoing staff education, quality improvement initiatives, and team meetings.

    Qualifications

    + Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa (required).

    + Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).

    + Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (OB/GYN or women’s health experience strongly preferred).

    + Current BLS certification (required).

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Proficient in using EMR systems (experience with [insert system name if known, e.g., Epic, Athena, etc.]).

    + Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment.

    + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
