The **Airport Customer Service (ACS)** **Above and Below Wing Ambassador** intern is a
position that aims to help Delta Air Lines achieve its divisional goals and
contribute to its overall success. The intern assigned to this position will
have individual duties to complete but will also be expected to work on a
larger project that will be presented to Leadership at the end of the semester.

Program Starts are Winter andSpring:
+ **Winter: October - December**
+ **Spring: January – April**

As part of the Customer Experience business unit, Airport
Customer Service (ACS) and Cargo (CGO) directly impact Delta’s customers from
welcoming them at the ticketing counter to providing a clean and enjoyable
airport experience to ensure on-time bag arrival when they land at their
destination. ACS and Cargo support over 22,000 of the best airport operations
professionals in the industry across 300 destinations, 52 countries, and six
continents.
Students joining the Internship Program with Airport
Customer Service (ACS) will work with our Field Support Team, supporting
functions that consist of Aviation Management, Strategy, and Operations.
All participants are trained in Ramp Control and Deicing
Procedures. You will be assigned
an area each day via a supervisor.
Participants are moved to additional locations if necessary, depending
on business need: **Deicing:**
+ pre-planning and monitoring ofaircraft deicing/anti-icing procedures and operation
+ Acts as the primary point of contactfor the coordination on all aircraft deicing/anti-icing services in the station
+ Maintains the daily roster ofestimated flight interruptions and deicing vehicles required to support thedeicing operation
+ Communicatesthe appropriate remote deicing locations to all ramp controllers
+ Coordinates aircraft locations viadeicing platform (Icelink) to pad commanders
Ramp Control: Ramp Controller is responsible for movement ofall operating aircraft (under their own power or tow) in the designated Deltacontrolled ground movement areas (i.e., apron, ramp, hangar, etc.).
+ Primary contact between the FAA, ATC,Airport Authority, Terminal Operator and Delta in the coordination of aircraftmovement
+ Gives pushback authorization and taxiclearance for departing flights.
+ Communicates effectively with GateKeeper, MTC, Move Team, FAA Liaison, Metering Coordinators, and terminal 4operator (IAT) to provide efficient movement and adjust to any changes.
+ Maintain situational awareness andimmediately interject additional communications when potential trafficconflicts are anticipated or arise that may cause incident or potentialaccident.
+ Communicate pertinent informationfrom the crew to respective areas only when it impedes traffic management oraircraft has an emergency. All other times instruct pilots to utilizeOperations Frequencies.
+ PertinentInfo included but not limited to: Ground equipment blocking gate, A/C waitingfor parkers, FOD on the ramp, medical emergencies, mechanical problems.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Must be currently enrolled in anaccredited college, university, or institution during the duration of theinternship program day of interview with you
+ Ability to handle simultaneoussituations and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
+ Solid interpersonal skills with a focuson teamwork and strong verbal communication skills
+ Must follow Delta’s public contactemployee appearance standards
+ Must be legally authorized to work inthe United States for any employer without sponsorship or future sponsorshipfor full/part time position
+ Work any shift including earlymorning, nights, weekends and holidays
