Position Summary:
Technically proficient in effective mechanical, electrical and electronic repairs to multiple manufacturing equipment types or facilities equipment.
Able to troubleshoot complex technical problems and solve most equipment issues without assistance.
Understands RX principals; promotes and follows standard practices.
Able to make and suggest improvements to critical equipment.
Contributes to the achievement of department, plant and company objectives.
Performs all day-to-day tasks in the most cost-effective manner.
Sets the example in following Swagelok safety practices and policies (Ex-fall protection, confined space, hot works permit, PPE, LO/TO, compressed gas, and Arc Flash).
Sets the example with respect to Housekeeping, competencies and behaviours.
Adheres to all regulatory requirements placed on the plant.
Supports company operating plan along with Swagelok’s mission, vision and values
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Follows applicable standard work.
+ Perform relevant preventative maintenance per SOM’s.
+ Promotes and supports the Reliability Excellence process.
+ Is certified and properly uses all Power Industrial equipment.
+ Contributes to resolving issues related to safety observations.
+ Understands equipment blueprints, assembly drawings and electrical schematics.
+ Diagnoses mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical problems separate from process
+ Recognizes problems in electronic schematics.
+ Demonstrates the ability to apply troubleshooting skills across multiple asset types.
+ Suggests and makes modifications or improvements to equipment per RX process as needed
+ Trains other facility maintenance associates on Swagelok policies and procedures
+ Provide training on standard work and company procedures.
+ Performs housekeeping duties relevant to the area.
+ Takes ownership of personal development.
+ Provides clear and concise department, inter-department and shift handover communication, both written and verbal.
+ Experience in basic fabrication, electrical, plumbing and pipe fitting
+ Leads small to medium sized projects
+ Accurately records processes and procedures

+ Minimum of 3 years of applicable maintenance experience
+ Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
+ High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
+ Manufacturing experience.
+ NVQ level 2 min or equivalent is preferred

+ Manual handling: able to perform the manual handling requirements of the role.
+ Have appropriate manual dexterity to be able to properly work safely
+ Ability to move around equipment and within the plant through a shift period.
