    About the Role

     

    Join a **well-established hospitalist team** of 60+ FTEs, supported by a dedicated group of nocturnists and APPs, with a closed ICU and strong interdisciplinary collaboration.

    As **Associate Medical Director** , you will:

    + Lead operational strategy and daily functions for the Hospitalist team with **0.5 FTE protected administrative time** and **0.5 FTE clinical duties** .

    + Assisted by an experienced **Assistant Medical Director** with dedicated 0.35 FTE admin time to oversee quality and safety outcomes.

    + Also assisted by three **Lead Hospitalists** with dedicated leadership FTE 0.1 for eachto assist daily day and night team operations.

    + Partner with the full-time **Hospital Medicine RN Supervisor** who liaises with nursing and other inpatient services and helps with quality outcomes and scheduling.

    + Be supported by a dedicated **Office Assistant** for calendar management and scheduling.

    + Work in dyad partnership with the **Director of Hospital Operations,** with a strong background in data analytics, who assists with non-clinical management tasks.

    + Report to the **Medical Director of Adult Inpatient Services,** who is also a career hospitalist.

    Qualifications

    + MD/DO, board-certified in Internal or Family Medicine

    + Active Illinois medical license or ability to obtain

    + 5+ years of clinical experience preferred

    + Prior leadership experience is strongly preferred

    + Additional training (MBA, MHA, leadership development) is a plus

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    The compensation range for this position is $345,000 - $527,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
