• System Administrator (Mid-Senior Level)

    About the Role:

    Robert Half is proactively recruiting experienced System Administrators for upcoming opportunities with our clients across diverse industries. We’re seeking professionals who can provide advanced technical support, manage complex system environments, and ensure seamless IT operations in both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures.

    Responsibilities:

    + Manage, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers, including patching, upgrades, and performance monitoring.

    + Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity management solutions.

    + Oversee virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and storage solutions.

    + Implement and manage cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) including hybrid integrations.

    + Ensure security best practices are followed: endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, and access controls.

    + Monitor system performance, troubleshoot escalated incidents, and resolve complex technical issues.

    + Support networking fundamentals (switches, firewalls, VPNs) in collaboration with network teams.

    + Participate in disaster recovery planning, backup management, and business continuity initiatives.

    + Provide Tier III support for escalations and mentor junior IT staff.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience.

    + Strong expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and/or Linux distributions.

    + Proficiency with virtualization (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) and storage management.

    + Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP).

    + Solid knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange Online, and M365 ecosystem.

    + Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python a plus).

    + Strong understanding of IT security frameworks and compliance standards.

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

    + Relevant certifications (MCSA, MCSE, VMware VCP, CompTIA Security+, Azure Administrator Associate, etc.) strongly preferred.
