    Linux System Administrator

     

    Location : SeaTac, WA

     

    Hybrid is OK ( 3 Days Onsite )

    Roles and responsibilities :-

    + Work closely with application, storage, MQ, and database teams to align server configurations with business needs.

    + Set up and validate **IBM MQ (Inbound and Outbound queues)** and ActiveMQ instances on Linux servers.

    + Configure dashboards in **Kibana** and **Grafana** to visualize system and application metrics.

    + Automate build and decom processes using Shell scripting and Ansible.

    + Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using YAML files in Azure DevOps (ADO).

    + Ensure all builds follow security hardening, patching, and compliance guidelines.

    + Provide network-level support (IP, DNS, routing, VLAN, firewalls).

    + Troubleshoot server logs, application logs, and network issues.

    + Support deployment and configuration of Java, JBoss, Apache (httpd), and Camel-based applications.

    + Manage SSL certificate installations and configure SAML authentication.

    + Install necessary Linux packages and dependencies based on application needs.

    Salary and Other Compensation:

    Applications will be accepted until 10/17/2025.

     

    The annual salary for this position is between 79,000 to 92,500 yearly depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

     

    This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
