    Description

    Cashier - School Cafeteria

     

    We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our school cafeteria team. This role is vital in providing students and staff with a smooth and positive dining experience. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent customer service skills, we encourage you to apply.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Greet students and staff in a courteous and professional manner

     

    - Process transactions accurately using the cash register or point-of-sale system

     

    - Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments securely

     

    - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station

     

    - Assist with meal distribution and answer any customer inquiries

     

    - Follow all safety and health regulations related to food service and cash handling

     

    - Support team members in maintaining a welcoming environment

    Skills and Qualifications:

    - Previous experience in cash handling or customer service preferred

     

    - Strong communication and interpersonal skills

     

    - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

     

    - Basic math skills and attention to detail

     

    - Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours during school days

     

    - Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols

    Requirements

    + Highschool Diploma/GED required

    + Customer Service Skills necessary

    + Must possess basic math skills, ability to calculate production and recipes as required for guest counts.

    + Must be able to work at a moderate to fast pace.

    Additional Duties

    + Assume other related duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager and Cook Manager.
