Onsite Position

Production Supervisor - Day Shift (5:00 AM to 3:30 PM), responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day operational activities and Lean Manufacturing practices. Manufacturing large scale wastewater Treatment Plant equipment (Carbone & Stainless Steel)

This role ensures adherence to production schedules, implementation of lean manufacturing practices, and effective inventory control.

Supervisor plays a key role maintaining high-quality standards, and promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

+ Implementing and sustaining lean manufacturing initiatives

+ Managing inventory control and workflow efficiency

Onsite Position: 1828 Metcalf Ave. Thomasville, GA 31792

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead and coordinate a team of approximately 22 direct reports in fabrication and welding.

+ Supervise daily operations to meet production schedules and quality benchmarks.

+ Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety and accountability.

+ Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow and reduce waste.

+ Manage inventory levels to ensure material availability and minimize downtime.

+ Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.

+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.

+ Oversee departmental budget and control operational expenses.

+ Facilitate shift meetings and communicate updates to management.

+ Stay current with industry trends and integrate best practices into operations.

+ Ensure routine maintenance of equipment and facilities to support uninterrupted production.

Quality Control:

Implementing and maintaining quality control measures

Ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations

Conducting quality inspections and addressing any issues or concerns

Implementing corrective actions to improve product quality

Team Management:

Understand team dynamics and effective management practices. Supervisors should be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance.

Conflict Resolution: Ability to address conflicts within the team professionally and constructively.

Motivational Skills: Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best.

Supervisors often encounter changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Being adaptable and flexible is crucial.

Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on organizational goals and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.

Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement practices

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred: SAP and Workday experience

Preferred:** **bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field with at least 4 years experience, with at least 1 year experience as a people manager or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts

The estimated salary range for this position is $72,300.00 to $85,000.00 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
