Duties Description New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI) is currently recruiting for a Business Systems Analyst 1 who will assist with data collection systems, help develop policies and procedures, and assist in ensuring compliance with research processes and systems. Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Business Systems Analyst 1 if they have a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of professional human resources experience.Substitution: Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree in a related field can substitute for one year of specialized experience.ORCandidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Business Systems Analyst Trainee 1 if they have a bachelor’s degree.To be advanced to the full performance level, Business Systems Analyst 1 you must successfully complete a 2 year traineeship.ORCandidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Business Systems Analyst Trainee 2 if they have a bachelor’s degree and 1 year of professional human resources experience.Substitution: Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree in a related field can substitute for one year of specialized experience.To be advanced to the full performance level, Business Systems Analyst 1, you must successfully complete a 1 year of the traineeship.ORCandidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on a current Professional Career Opportunities (PCO) eligible list. Appointment from this eligible list would be as a Business Systems Analyst Trainee 1 and to be advanced to the full performance level, Business Systems Analyst 1, you must successfully complete a 2 year traineeship.ORCandidates within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the Public Administration Traineeship Transition (PATT) eligible list. Appointment from this eligible list would be as a Business Systems Analyst Trainee 1 and to be advanced to the full performance level, Business Systems Analyst 1, you must successfully complete a 2 year traineeship.ORCandidates within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
