    Inspired by the relaxed elegance of coastal Italy, Bar Sprezzatura is an aperitivo and cicchetti bar in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District. In partnership with notable mixologist Carlo Splendorini, this new concept showcases Splendorini’s creative twist on the Italian classics as well as a variety of small plates including shellfish, crudo, tins, fritti, and focaccia. Designed by Martin Brudnizki, Bar Sprezzatura is the ideal gathering place for friends and colleagues alike.

     

    JOB TITLE:                   SERVER

     

    STATUS:                       Regular, Non-Exempt

     

    DEPARTMENT:             Dining Room

     

    SUPERVISOR:             Cafe Manager, General Manager

     

    POSITION OVERVIEW: As the primary point of contact for guest interactions in the dining room, the Server is responsible for selling & serving food & beverages using their knowledge, hospitality and service skills.  Must be pleasant, conscientious and professional with excellent knowledge of food & alcoholic beverage selections. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and ensure smooth service operations and quality service.

    What you bring to the table:

    + 2-4 years’ experience in a fine dining or casual fine dining atmosphere

    + Exceptional communication skills

    + Extensive food and wine knowledge

    + Intellectual curiosity

    + Ability to work clean, organized, and as part of a team

    + Excellent basic math skills and ability to operate a POS and Microsoft based computer system

    + At least 18 years of age

    + Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
