    Join us as a Lead Mechanical Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in coordinating all mechanical engineering activities for exciting projects. Imagine being at the forefront of designing detailed layouts for electrolysis plants, steel structures, and piping routes. You will prepare specification documents for manufacturing processes and supervise manufacturing activities, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your expertise will shine as you review structural-mechanical simulations and stress analyses, making a significant impact on our projects and the energy transition.

    How You’ll Make an Impact

    + You will coordinate all mechanical engineering tasks in R&D and customer projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes and contribute to negotiations with suppliers and customers, fostering strong partnerships.

    + Collaborate with fabricators to ensure seamless execution of designs.

    + Plan steel structures, piping layouts, and installation plans for competitive bids on hydrogen plants.

    + Prepare specification documents for manufacturing processes and procurement, enhancing project efficiency.

    + Complete build reviews and enhance building guidelines to improve project standards.

    + Initiate lessons learned initiatives and implement improvement measures as part of our continuous improvement process.

    What You Bring

    + You have a university degree in mechanical engineering or a similar qualification, complemented 5+ years years of practical experience in 3D design and plant layouts.

    + You possess comprehensive experience in piping design and high expertise in using 3D design tools, preferably NX.

    + Your knowledge includes performing structural-mechanical simulations and conducting stress analyses and ideally, you have experience with Teamcenter and managing CAD data for large projects, ensuring smooth data exchange between design tools.

    + You have a solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly works, paired with excellent organizational skills including coordinating small engineering or project teams, showcasing your leadership abilities.

    + Strong communication skills and a good sense of humor make you a great team player.

    + You are willing to travel nationally and internationally, and you are business fluent in English; Spanish or German language skills are a bonus and have a great passion for energy transition and decarbonization, and you thrive in interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions.
