In this role, you will work on retail, office planning, and other corporate design and planning initiatives. The associate design project manager will also be responsible in assisting large corporate design and construction projects as well as leading smaller project efforts independently.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in the management, development and administration of project plans including scope, budgets and schedules, as well as integrate and coordinate the efforts of internal resources that may include Retail Store Personnel, Real Estate, Electrical, HVAC, Network Services, Security, Procurement, and Risk Management.
+ Responsible for retail store design projects, office planning, retail fixture design and procurement, and other corporate design projects.
+ Must be able to communicate effectively with consultants, co-workers, and various cross-function teams. Ability to maintain a professional and open communication with all vendors, project managers and team members through all phases of the project.
+ Project Management Job Duties
+ Schedule and lead meetings with outside consultants to review all work and projects
+ Schedule and lead project specific meetings with internal partners to review the needs of the business and how they affect the project.
+ Attend meetings with cross functional teams to provide update on status and discuss projects.
+ Ability to maintain a professional and open communication with all vendors, project managers and team members through all phases of the project.
+ Develop scope of work documents for potential projects, new stores, and remodels.
+ Perform plan reviews for assigned projects to ensure design scope compliance, design consistency and accuracy of design and construction documents.
+ Review landlord design criteria to ensure all designs meet individual project standards.
+ Review landlord design drawings to ensure designs are coordinated with L.L.Bean tenant fit out design.
+ Assist in developing, maintaining and improving LL Bean’s design and development standards.
+ Develop high level estimates for small projects and retail fixture packages.
+ Technology
+ Experience in Revit and or AutoCAD preferred.
+ Maintain an understanding of evolving technology within the architecture and construction industry.
+ Use technology efficiently and effectively to communicate within the business and out of house partners.
+ Manage and Develop virtual views to help communicate design intent.
+ Use technology to aid in building system coordination throughout the design.
+ Maintain and develop various prototypes for retail design including stores, retail fixtures, finishes etc.
+ Other / Special Projects
+ Develop and Maintain Prototype of store design with the L.L.Bean Design Team.
+ Develop Custom prototypical parts (Revit families etc.)
+ Maintain Interior Finish library, physically and digitally.
+ Other projects as assigned by the Senior Manager of Design and Planning.

Skills and Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree preferred.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a building design related field.
+ 3 years or more years of experience in architectural design
+ Understanding of construction procedures, and architectural design and planning projects.
+ Experience in Revit and other BIM technology is preferred.
+ Ability to travel for business purposes.
+ Ability to read, review, and interpret architectural and engineering documents.
