Job Description:

We are seeking a **Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer** to join our team. This role combines process improvement, and floor-level troubleshooting in a fast-paced plastic injection molding environment. The ideal candidate is just as comfortable analyzing data and improving processes as they are getting onto the floor to solve real-time production challenges.

Key Responsibilities

+ **Process & Equipment Support**

+ Provide technical support for injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and automation.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, and tooling issues directly on the floor.

+ Assist maintenance and production teams with equipment modifications and repairs.

+ **Engineering & Continuous Improvement**

+ Develop and implement process improvements to optimize quality, efficiency, and cycle times.

+ Partner with production supervisors and operators to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

+ Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and cost reduction initiatives.

+ Support new product launches, tooling changes, and engineering trials.

+ **Documentation & Compliance**

+ Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and PM standards.

+ Ensure compliance with OSHA and facility safety policies.

+ Support quality system requirements (PFMEA, control plans, capability studies, etc.)

+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration**

+ Work with engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams to align on priorities.

+ Serve as a technical resource for operators and technicians.

+ Provide input on equipment purchases and capital projects.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in **Mechanical Engineering** **, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering** (or equivalent experience).

+ 3+ years of experience in **plastic injection molding** or a similar manufacturing environment.

+ Strong knowledge of automation, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.

+ Experience with injection molding equipment, tooling, and automation.

+ Proficiency with CAD and Microsoft Office (SolidWorks preferred).

+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on the floor.

+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

+ 3d printing experience is a plus
