Internship Overview

As an FHU intern, you will gain practical experience in transportation engineering design with a focus on roadway design. You will work on real projects, build technical skills, and gain insight into the industry in a supportive environment where you can explore your career interests.

Key Responsibilities

+ Assist in the design, analysis, and planning of engineering projects

+ Participate in fieldwork, data collection, and analysis

+ Collaborate with team members to develop solutions for clients and communities

+ Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and project documentation

+ Use industry software including AutoCAD Civil3D and/or MicroStation OpenRoads Designer

Requirements

Required

+ Undergraduate (junior or higher) or graduate student in Transportation Engineering or a related field

+ Strong computer skills and proficiency with engineering software

+ Solid mathematics skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities

+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

+ Availability for a 3-month internship (approximately June through August)

Preferred

+ Coursework in transportation engineering

+ Prior experience

+ Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation OpenRoads Designer

Benefits

Starting pay: $23.00 per hour
