Job Summary

Provides high-level professional, clinical and/or technical leadership in the design, implementation, operations and dissemination of findings from research, demonstration and evaluation projects. Assume a leadership role in program level development and in the design, development, implementation and reporting of research interventions.

Job Duties

+ Directs day-to-day work on research projects; Responsible for research design and protocol development under the direction of a Center, Institute or Program Director and pursuing independent funding for research projects; Analyzes research findings and disseminates in journals and presents at scientific meetings; Represents research Center and Institute to health care and scientific communities; Supervises and develops expertise of research support staff.

+ Interprets and follows policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines.

+ Provides technical assistance in areas of expertise to other investigators or departments.

+ Provides oversight and supervision of support staff in scientific and clinical aspects of research projects.

+ Serves on research Center and Institute committees.
