    Join International Motors as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager

     

    Are you ready to lead innovation in automotive manufacturing? International Motors is seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineering Manager to drive excellence at our cutting-edge Powertrain Manufacturing Facility in Huntsville, Alabama.

    What You’ll Do:

    As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will:

    + Lead a talented team of engineers across Controls, Manufacturing, and Testing disciplines.

    + Oversee the planning, development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing methods and processes for both new and existing products.

    + Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and design teams to ensure seamless product launches and sustained operational success.

    What We’re Looking For:

    + Proven leadership experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the automotive or powertrain sector.

    + Strong technical background in process development, automation, and testing.

    + Excellent communication and project management skills.

    + A passion for innovation and driving results through teamwork.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers across Controls, Manufacturing, and Testing.

    + Oversee the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods and processes for new and existing products.

    + Ensure the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel to produce high-quality products at minimal cost.

    + Act as a liaison with engineering for the release of new products.

    + Develop systems for reporting and record-keeping of company products.

    + Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.

    + Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operations.

    + Manage the team with a focus on policy and strategy implementation and control.

    + Interact with supervisors, customers, and peer group managers to align goals and resolve issues.

    + Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that impact the immediate organization.

    + Work on issues of diverse scope, requiring analysis of various factors including current business trends.

    Minimum Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree

    + At least 8 years of product manufacturing experience

    + At least 2 years of management experience

    OR

    + Master’s degree

    + At least 6 years of product manufacturing experience

    + At least 2 years of management experience

    OR

    + At least 10 years of product manufacturing experience

    + At least 2 years of management experience

    Additional Requirements

    + Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

     

    Desired Skills

     

    + Experience with electric torque-controlled fastening tools

    + Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling tools (Siemens NX preferred)

    + Experience with leak testing and robotic assembly systems

    + Familiarity with AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles)

    + Proven ability to maintain project budgets and estimate project costs

    + Experience launching new products into existing production lines

    + Strong background in resolving quality issues and presenting solutions

    + Skilled in creating and maintaining project timelines

    + Ability to motivate teams to find innovative solutions to production and quality challenges

    + Experience resolving daily production issues efficiently

    + Demonstrated success in leading diverse teams

    + Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products
