Position Summary...

Global Procurement is responsible for sourcing goods and services across Walmart’s direct and indirect space. This role is focused specifically on Supplies and Packaging and spans end-to-end procurement; from collaborating with our business partners and developing requirements to negotiating with suppliers to deliver best in class supplier partnerships. Global Procurement adds value through ensuring quality and service levels are met, negotiating savings, driving innovation, adhering to compliance, and focusing on supplier belonging and sustainability. Procurement is responsible for the selection of suppliers and their overall performance on behalf of the business teams we support.

What you'll do...

Want to use your Procurement Skills to leverage suppliers to bring the best value back to Walmart? The Senior Manager, Procurement, is a primary steward of our company; you'll engage with numerous suppliers while working alongside a forward-thinking team in supporting stakeholders throughout Walmart. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders and private brand co-manufacturers to identify and implement packaging-related opportunities that deliver cost savings, leverage scale, and support Walmart’s sustainability goals. Key focus areas include optimizing packaging specifications, conducting packaging bids, streamlining costs, and increasing the use of Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content or more sustainable materials.

You'll make an impact by:

+ Contracting: The ability to develop and lead contract negotiations with vendors, while collaborating with the business stakeholders and legal team.

+ Build Effective RFPs: Modeling historic and real time market data to identify the right suppliers to support our company objectives.

+ Engaging Stakeholders: Identify and meet with both internal and external teams to drive value and deliver savings.

+ Building strategic Sourcing Strategies: Maximize relationships with new and existing suppliers, understanding, and evaluating their products and capabilities and negotiating advantageous rates. Build internal partnerships and support our company goals.

+ Interpreting Spend Analysis: The ability to read, analyze and tell the story from data and spend to build a TCO model.

+ Operating with excellence: Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others

You will sweep us off our feet if:

+ Advanced analytical capabilities to analyze market trends, pricing data, supplier performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, quality, cost), and contract terms to identify areas for improvement and cost savings

+ You have supply chain and transportation domain experience

+ You are an expert on the end-to-end procurement process

+ You have developed effective RFPs and successfully concluded negotiations

+ You have experience obtaining Stakeholder alignment

+ You are proficient in developing Sourcing Strategies

+ You have a great eye for detail and experience negotiating contracts with vendors

+ You are organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously

+ You are knowledgeable of procurement technology such as Coupa Sourcing (for sourcing)

+ You are stimulated by challenges and are ready to engage at Fortune 1 scale

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, economics, technology, or related field and 5 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field. Option 2: 6 years’ experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field and 2 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams/projects.
