Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with experienced Amazonians to create and execute security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal and/or external attacks. Develop, test, review, debug, or deploy code that supports security protocols. Identify areas of improvement around the current DevSecOps program to increase developer velocity and program efficiency while maintaining a high security bar. Explore areas to automate deployments and tasks around the CI/CD pipeline. Work with Core Infrastructure teams to identify gap and bottlenecks in current processes to build more efficient solutions. Work with software development teams to identify security problems and improve the security aspects of their service(s). Troubleshoot, research the root cause of, and resolve security or risk issues with guidance. Work with the Product teams to ensure the new features we are releasing to our customer maintain the high bar that Amazon is known for. Work to create system artifacts, preform manual and automated code review, and assist with scoping and conducting Pentesting activities.
Position Requirements:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Technology, Mathematics or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have two years of experience in the following skills: (1) Application Security Experience; (2) experience working with Security testing tools; (3) hands-on experience with programming or scripting languages, including Python, JavaScript, Ruby, HQL or Bash; (4) experience working and delivering with Agile Practices, including Scrum or XP.
