Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in St. George, South Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, while maintaining organized financial records. This position requires a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Assign appropriate codes to invoices to ensure proper account allocation.

• Prepare and execute check runs for timely vendor payments.

• Review and reconcile discrepancies in invoices and payment records.

• Maintain detailed and organized accounts payable files for easy accessibility.

• Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues or discrepancies.

• Assist in month-end closing by providing relevant accounts payable reports.

• Monitor and manage accounts payable aging to ensure timely payments.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations. Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of invoice processing and coding procedures.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and tools.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Strong communication skills for vendor and team interactions.

• Familiarity with check run preparation and accounts reconciliation.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional accounting coursework is a plus.
