Description We are looking for an experienced Director of Human Resources to oversee and enhance all aspects of HR operations within our organization. Based in Monterey, California, this role is pivotal in fostering a positive workplace culture, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and processes to support organizational goals.
• Oversee employee relations initiatives, ensuring fair and consistent handling of workplace concerns.
• Administer benefit programs and ensure accurate management of compensation packages.
• Optimize the use and functionality of HR information systems (HRIS) to streamline operations and reporting.
• Supervise onboarding processes to create a smooth transition for new employees into the organization.
• Monitor compliance with labor laws and regulations, providing expert guidance on HR practices.
• Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with overall business objectives.
• Manage performance review cycles and support the development of skills and expertise.
• Develop and maintain metrics to measure HR effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide strategic advice on workforce planning and succession planning. Requirements • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably as a Director or Manager.
• Strong expertise in employee relations, with a track record of handling sensitive workplace issues.
• In-depth knowledge of HR administration and benefit functions.
• Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and their application in organizational settings.
• Demonstrated ability to manage onboarding processes effectively.
• Comprehensive understanding of employment laws and regulations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with employees and leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.
